Mark 2

Mark Adcock

Mark Adcock is the third generation of the Adcock family to have worked in the practice. Whilst having had experience in most areas of private practice, his current specialism is Leasehold Reform work, where he acts for both landlords and tenants across the UK.  Mark has completed many substantial property transactions including projects in Leicester,  Lynton in  Devon and London. Of this specialist area of work, Mark regularly deals with missing freehold  cases and complex enfranchisement work.

Mark was awarded the Broderip and Easterbrook prizes in the Law Society’s final examinations  for
his results in the conveyancing law papers and is regarded as somewhat of a perfectionist in his
work. “The job isn’t done until every detail is resolved!” he says.


Hedley

Hedley Adcock

Hedley joined the firm in February 2016 after a successful 10 year career at Birmingham City Centre firm, the Wilkes Partnership, where he trained and worked up to Senior Associate level. Hedley has joined as a Director of the firm, an appointment which secures the future and name of the firm for another generation. Hedley specialises in all aspects of commercial property law including disposal and acquisitions, asset management, leasing, and investment finance. He is respected for his no fuss approach to commercial property transactions and is known for ‘getting the job done’.


Fran

Frances Adcock

Frances has been working in the practice since 2007, following her creative degree and teaching
positions at a leading city College.  As the fourth generation of the Adcocks family to do so, Frances plays an active role in the development of the practice. Whilst following traditional methods of private practice, Frances, as the practice director, has also introduced more modern ways of working to ensure efficiency, transparency and fluidity in the work Adcocks undertake. She provides invaluable training and support to the team at Adcocks and prides herself in ensuring the practice maintains its well known high standards of client care.


Geoffrey Bates BA FRICS

Geoff qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1981 and was made a Fellow of the RICS in 2000. Since February 2009 he has been Adcocks in-house Surveyor and Valuer.

Geoff deals with all valuation aspects of the Leasehold Enfranchisement process from initial valuations for collective enfranchisement or leasehold extension, through negotiation of the premium with landlord or tenants advisors to preparation and submission to the First-tier Tribunal as an Expert Witness, in those very rare cases where a negotiated agreement just cannot be reached.


Jo

Jo Adcock

Jo qualified in 2017 following a number of years working as a Legal Executive specialising in commercial and residential property. She graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2005 and began working in property the following September. She completed her Legal Practice course at the College of Law in Birmingham. Jo acts for individuals, companies, trustees and lenders in acquisitions, disposals and secured lending


Verity

Verity McMahon

Verity completed her Training contract at the practice and qualified in 2017. She currently works in our Leasehold Reform & Residential Conveyancing departments. After successfully completing her law degree and Legal Practice Course, Verity joined the firm in July 2014 as a Property Paralegal when she started to gain invaluable experience with a vast range of Landlord & Tenant, and Conveyancing transactions. Verity is eager to develop her skills
and knowledge of these areas of property.

She thrives on new challenges and always strives to provide a professional, friendly and high quality service to ensure all clients are satisfied.


Emily

Emily Goode

Emily joined the practice in August 2015 following successful completion of her law degree and legal practice course. Emily undertakes a range of work in our Private Client and Residential Property Departments. Her skills extend to the preparation of lifetime documentation including Lasting Powers of Attorney and Wills to the administration of estates from start to finish.

She prides herself on being adaptable, approachable and always professional. Emily always goes the extra mile to satisfy our clients’ requirements, but nothing is ever too challenging for her. Emily is looking forward to developing her legal career further here at Adcocks.


Yvonne

Yvonne Currow

Yvonne is a Probate Paralegal and is responsible for managing the administration of Estates from
start to finish. Yvonne has a great deal of interaction with the bereaved at a time that is often, for them, very emotional. She therefore approaches her role with the care and compassion that should be afforded at this difficult time. Her many years in Wills, Estates and Probate have given her the experience of assisting families with a sympathetic yet professional manner.


Nikki

Nikki Evans

Nikki is our property investment portfolio manager. She is currently assigned to manage a number of property portfolios for our clients and has worked with the practice for a number of years. Her extensive knowledge in the management of ground rents, property maintenance and other residential property legal issues makes Nikki an invaluable member of our team.


Dario

Dario Di Pierri

Dario joined Adcocks in 2010 following a career in engineering. After rigorous training and study,
Dario now manages all aspects of the accounts department at Adcocks with absolute precision. His role is to ensure all financial related matters are dealt with on a daily basis and works closely with both fee earners and the directors of the business, providing necessary accounting reports to ensure the smooth running of the practice.

Dario also ensures that all funds we receive from clients and third parties are dealt with accordingly, and swiftly.

He is a member of ILFM Institute of Legal Finance & Management to ensure he is always up to date
with money matters!


Kirstie new

Kirstie Barrett

Following successful completion of her degree in Sociology, Criminology and Criminal Justice, Kirstie joined the practice in 2014. Her prior experience of working in an office environment provided Kirstie with the perfect skills required to undertake an administrative position at Adcocks. Kirstie provides an invaluable support network for all members of the team and is central to the smooth running of the practice. She provides excellent support to the management team and her transferrable skills enable her to take on a variety of tasks with ease. Kirstie also acts as our Deeds and Wills registrar and assists with the accounts department on a daily basis.


Carolyn 2

Carolyn Smith

Carolyn joined the practice in 2017 following an impressive 25 year career in property law. She has had experience of working in a variety of legal practices, including 13 years in and around Johannesburg, South Africa. Carolyn returned to work in the UK in 2001 and continues to build her knowledge and expertise of property law, and the specialist work that we do.

Carolyn has bought a wealth of knowledge to Adcocks and is now working closely with the Solicitors in the practice, providing them with support in all aspects of their work for clients. Her accuracy and attention to detail is abundant in all her work. Her passion for developing new and improved methods of working excites her, which helps the practice to provide the most efficient service to our clients


Ellie

Ellie Spencer

Ellie is our most recent employee starting in April 2016. She has taken on the role of office administrator which entails working closely with each member of the team. Ellie has A-levels in Sociology, Psychology and Law and will continue in part time education, which will give her a solid
platform on which to develop her career here at Adcocks.


Adam

Adam Dennant

Adam joined the practice in 2017 and currently provides administrative and field support to the team. Adam has brought with him extensive experience in customer relations, having worked in a variety of management roles. He often assists with visits to our clients and his gentle, calm yet humorous approach is always welcomed, helping you to feel at ease.


Petya

Petya Petrova

Petya joined the practice in 2017 and is currently assisting on reception whilst undertaking an audit of the documents we are holding in storage for our clients. This includes reviewing our client database records to ensure that we stay in touch with you on a regular basis. She also manages the Deeds and Wills records, ensuring that when you need a document, we have it to hand.

Petya has a degree in German language, is multi-lingual in Bulgarian and Russian and finds this helpful in the multi-cultural society in which we work. Petya is enjoying the challenge of working in the legal environment following her career in childcare and is excited by the prospect of ensuring that we meet our client’s expectations in the services we provide, especially our document custody services.
